  2. Go to Paris Saint-Lazare

Saint-Lazare is the departure point for all Vernon trains. It is served by metro lines 3, 12, 13 and 14, as well as RER E. Give yourself 15 minutes to find the right platform.

  3. Board the Transilien J to Vernon

Trains run approximately every hour (more frequently in peak season). Journey time: 1h20. Key departure times from Saint-Lazare: 08:04, 09:04, 10:04, 11:04, 13:04.

  4. Take the shuttle bus from Vernon

The "Bus Giverny" shuttle runs from Vernon train station to Monet's garden (5 km) — April to October, timed to connect with trains. One-way fare: €5. Return included with some tour packages.

  5. Visit the garden

Allow 2–3 hours for the gardens and Monet's house. Buy tickets online in advance (same price as door) to skip the queue in peak season (May–June).

  6. Return to Paris
